Supporting the WWF through Art

Dan Pearce Endangered Exhibition

On Saturday 21st April Artisan Gallery will host the launch of a new series of work by Dan Pearce called Endangered.

The exhibition will support and help raise awareness for independent conservation organisation WWF, which is a charity close to Dan’s heart. For each original artwork purchase made at the exhibition, a percentage will be donated to WWF which will help to protect species and habitats around the world.

Artist Dan Pearce said: “I’ve always enjoyed painting iconic portraits but for 2018 I wanted to set myself a new challenge. I am a huge wildlife fan and was influenced by Blue Planet II which inspired me to create a new wildlife series. I wanted to focus on the beauty of these animals whilst raising awareness of the species at risk.

I fully support WWF’s efforts to protect the future of our planet. I am particularly supportive of its work to protect endangered animals, including efforts to ban the UK ivory trade. With 20,000 elephants currently killed every year for their tusks, the ban would be a significant move towards safeguarding the future of the African Elephant. Through my work, I hope to highlight some of the biggest issues affecting our planet and contribute towards the work being done to save it.”
